MP Kelly Vincent visits Victor Harbor
Kelly Vincent will spend the day in Victor Harbor, meeting local people and discussing issues and concerns.
“We know that South Australia has an ageing population, but analysis of the recently released Census data reveals that there has been a 30% increase in the number of residents in the Victor Harbor region who are aged over 75,” says Kelly Vincent.
“This has implications for planning and services and we need to design facilities and programs that will meet the community’s need.
“I also note the number of people reporting that they require assistance for their core needs on a daily basis has increased by a whopping 45%.
“I will be picking the brains of the locals and seeing whether we can look to local, state and federal government to provide in these areas,” said Ms Vincent.
